Mary and Brian’s in Loring Park Apartment

Mary and Brian's Loring Park Apartment Portrait Session

Mary was (and is) my childhood best friend and I remember the day that I helped her move into this adorable little Loring Park apartment like the back of my hand. She was moving out of an apartment she had shared with me because my new husband was moving in. Her new apartment was cute, cozy and she was determined to make it her new adventure. Throughout the next year and a half, she proceeded to meet a boy named Brian, then she dated Brian, next she lived with Brian and now she’s engaged to Brian. So in the midst of wedding plans and dreams, the two are moving into a space that’s a little better-suited for two.

They asked Colored in Love to take photos to commemorate the first space they shared together and to celebrate their new engagement. I have to admit, it wasn’t hard finding the material. Good models? Check (their love for each other was obvious). Good location? Check (who doesn’t love an old brownstone in Loring Park?). Good times? Absolutely check. It’s not every day you get to photograph your best friend having a real-life moment with the most important person in her life.

Sarah and I are so proud of how the photos turned out. It gave me a sneak peek into what being her Maid (let’s not use the word “Matron”) of Honor will be like in 13 months. But who’s counting?

xoxo,

Emily
